COOL TIPS: Memorizing

Short week, isn't it??? Good to catch up with some things we never have time to do or simply chill out and make a fresh start for the following week!

Semana curta, né??? Bom para colocar em dia algumas coisas que nunca temos tempo para fazer ou simplesmente descansar e começar com tudo na semana seguinte!

When it comes to studying a new language, it's very hard to memorize everything. So here I have some tips I have used and keep using!!!

Quando se trata de estudar um novo idioma, é muito difícil memorizar tudo. Então aqui tenho algumas dicas que tenho usado e continuo usando!!!

1st - Write down every new word on a separate little notebook or spreadsheet (e.g. Excel) and check it every now and then;

1o. - Anote toda palavra nova em um caderninho separado ou em uma planilha (como Excel) e verifique de vez em quando;


2nd - Make sentences with the new words or search for sentences with them online or in dictionaries;

2o. - Faça frases com as novas palavras ou procure frases com elas on-line ou em dicionários;


3rd - Don't be ashamed to talk to yourself in the language you're learning, making plans or to-do lists is a good option (have done it forever!!!);

3o. - Não tenha vergonha de falar com você mesmo no idioma que estiver aprendendo, fazer planos ou listas de tarefas é uma boa opção (tenho feito isso a vida inteira!!!); 


4th - Listen to songs and learn how to sing them correctly; many times I remember a phrase or word that I learned or heard very often in a song;

4o. - Escute músicas e aprenda a cantá-las corretamente; muitas vezes eu me lembro de uma expressão ou palavra que aprendi ou ouvi muito em uma música;


5th - Don't be SHY!!! There's no reason to feel embarassed when you talk to another person in a different language, especially to native speakers. Always remember one thing: You are doing your best and exposing yourself to another language, so imagine how polite and kind you are! The person doesn't even need to put an effort to try to communicate because you're already helping him/her. And besides practicing, you're having the opportunity to learn something new, ALWAYS!!!

5o. - Não seja TÍMIDO!!! Não tem por que se sentir envergonhado quando falar com outra pessoa em um idioma diferente, especialmente com falantes nativos. Lembre-se sempre de uma coisa: Você está dando o seu melhor e se expondo à outra língua, então pense que educado e gentil você é!!! A pessoa nem mesmo precisa se esforçar para tentar se comunicar porque você já está ajudando-a. E além de praticar, você está tendo a oportunidade de aprender algo novo, SEMPRE!!!
