After I put this song on the blog on Friday I felt I could say more things about the vocabulary used there, because it's so rich, full of idioms. Let's check some of them then!
Depois que eu coloquei esta música no blog na sexta-feira eu senti que poderia ter dito mais coisas sobre o vocabulário usado nela, porque é muito rico, cheio de expressões idiomáticas. Vamos ver algumas delas!
"a shot in the dark" = a wild guess
"um tiro no escuro" = uma suposição louca
"to hunt down"= to search for someone/something until you find it
"ir à caça" = buscar alguém/algo até encontrar "a she wolf" = a very bad/mean woman
"uma loba/cobra" = uma mulher muito má
"to bring someone on his/her knees" = to make the person be in a submission position
"deixar alguém de joelhos" = deixar as pessoas em uma posição submissa "to fall into pieces" = to lose control of emotions; to fell very upset, sad or angry
"despedaçar/desmoronar" = perder controle das emoções; se sentir muito chateado, triste ou bravo "to pull someone in"= to arrest
"prender alguém" = prender Using these expressions shows that you are more fluent so try to use them as much as you can!!!!
Usar essas expressões mostra que você é mais fluente então procure usá-las o quanto puder!!!
