IN & NOW: São Paulo's Anniversary

Today is São Paulo's 459th Anniversary, the hated-loved city where I live in and I'm missing somehow now, given the fact that I'm away for more than a month....
Museu do Ipiranga
São Paulo is hated and loved for many reasons... everyone who has been there knows what I'm talking about... but above all it is the IT city, you can find anything and anyone there, you can go to the top-notch places and restaurants and bars and it's always crowded, packed with events, jobs, opportunities, malls, attractions.... ok I love SP =)

SPOT THE DIFFERENCE: Anniversary = Birthday???

What is the difference between these two sentences???
Qual é a diferença entre essas duas frases???

She's celebrating her birthday tomorrow.

She's celebrating her anniversary tomorrow.

Both are correct, ok? If you translate to Portuguese, the word for both of them is the same. But each one has a different meaning!!!

She's celebrating her birthday tomorrow = she was born on that day
Ela irá comemorar seu aniversário amanhã = ela nasceu naquele dia

She's celebrating her anniversary tomorrow = she is celebrating the period of a relationship with another person, a period of time in a company/ profession/ situation, etc.

Check out the examples below with anniversary:
Veja os exemplos abaixo com aniversário:

Next month my parents will be celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary.

This year the company completes its 100th anniversary.
Este ano, a empresa completa seu 100º aniversário.

Finally she really stopped smoking. It's her 1-year anniversary without a cigarette in her mouth.

In July we celebrate the Independence anniversary of the United States.

Clear??? That topic came to my mind just because today I'm celebrating my 5th anniversary with my boyfriend!!! Isn't that good?!?! =)
Claro??? =)

And don't forget... if it's not a birthday, instead of saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY we greet the person saying:
