This is the third spot I visited from the best of Veja São Paulo, and it couldn't be at a better time... everyone knows women love eating sweets during their PMS, and it's not different for me, so I allowed myself to eat a delicious cupcake during the week and the place was Wondercakes Cupcakes!!!
I'd seen this before, and the façade is very attractive: a small pink shop at the corner of a sidewalk, all in glass, and full of pink and violet items, such as the chandeliers, which make the decor of the place... soooo cute!!!
When you get into it, you see lots of colorful cupcakes in several flavors displayed: chocolate, vanilla, pistacchio, walnut, all kinds of fruit, and so on. They also serve coffee there and there's a small sitting area if you want to stay there.
After a slow look, I decided to take out 2 cupcakes: a simple milk chocolate and a different one, blackberry (a fruit I loooooove!!!), which was chocolate dough with blackberry filling and white brigadeiro topping. And I have to say, they were FANTASTIC!!! Super moist, delicious filling, amazing topping, fresh fruit, I have NOTHING to complain about it!!! You should definitely try one there!!!
Besides their shop on Augusta, 2542, they have branches in the malls Morumbi, Higienópolis and Market Place. And if you want to give it to someone as a little gift, they have the cutest boxes in every color, just like this one I gave to my Pilates instructor =)

COOL TIPS: Buying tickets abroad
When I plan a trip abroad, one of the things I always check is about the events going on there, especially concerts, which are so expensive and crowded in Brazil.
Here, when we have a very good concert, mainly international ones, it's probably in one of the huge pavilions for thousands of people, not exclusive at all: big stadiums, people sleep in tents to be able to stay up in the front of the stage, tickets are sold out at the same day they start selling them, you pay far too much for that, you're at risk of having your cell phone stolen during the concert in the middle of the crowd and you don't even see your favorite artist well. These are just some of the disadvantages we go through in concerts in Brazil.
In the US, on the other hand, you can enjoy the concert which is most of the times with a marked seat, even in big ones in stadiums, you get to see the artist pretty close and you pay a fair amount of money for that, nothing overpriced.
There, besides the official sellers, you find "scalpers" selling tickets not only outside the venue but also in websites, which is much more comfortable for those looking for last minute tickets... and many times you're lucky enough to find tickets that are cheaper there than in the official website, just like I did once paying only US$ 20 for a front row seat at Nelly Furtado's concert.
When I lived in the US, I went to all the big concerts in the region: Mariah Carey, Norah Jones, Eric Clapton, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ben Harper, Rihanna, Akon, Fergie, and MADONNA!!! Yes... for that last one I spent the most, but not even half of what people pay to stay in the middle of the crowd, and there, I was face to face with the POP diva!!!
So, don't hesitate about looking for tickets when you go abroad and these websites also sell tickets for musicals and sports events, which are so cool abroad... basketball, hockey and football are the most popular ones and a great American flavor for visitors!!!

IN & NOW: Elections 2012
Yesterday, the local elections - mayor and city councilors - were held in Brazil and moved the whole population to make a choice and elect their favorite candidate to represent their municipality.
In some cities, which is the case of São Paulo, the current mayor can not be re-elected, because he is in the second and final term.
Some cities, 50 more precisely, are going to face the run-off elections (October 28th), i.e., the second part of it in which the two most voted candidates, which did not achieve over 50% of votes, are going to be voted again so that people decide who will be the winner.
Parallel to it, the United States Presidential Elections are coming up too. They are going to be held on November 6th, and President Barack Obama, Democratic Party, is running for his second and final term. His major contender is Mitt Romney, Republican Party, former Massachussets Governor.
In the United States, the voting takes place in a slightly different manner: not alike Brazil which is 100% eletronically using a DRE voting machine, there they have other means of voting too besides the DRE voting machine, which are the optical scan voting machines that read the paper ballots left in the ballot boxes by voters.
Back to Brazil, some cities are already celebrating the victory of their candidates, and the others are looking forward to seeing who will be the winner. Let's wait and see the final result!!!
Vamos esperar e ver o resultado final!!!
