Last week I went to Buddies American Pub with a dear friend and had a great time!!! It carries the American style of a Sports Bar where you can meet with your friends to watch the games, have a beer, eat some yummy food and have a good time!!!  

Semana passada fui no Buddies American Pub com uma amiga querida e me diverti muito!!! O bar tem o estilo americano de um Sports Bar onde você pode encontrar seus amigos para assistir aos jogos, tomar uma cerveja, comer algo delicioso e se divertir!!!

For example, yesterday was the opening of the US Open and the Pub, with its 4 big screens in the middle of the bar, will be showing part of it during the whole championship. Besides, every week they have the schedule with the games they will be showing so that you can check what time is best to arrive there. Adapting to the Brazilian style, most games are soccer games.

Por exemplo, ontem foi a abertura do US Open e o Pub, com suas 4 grandes telas no meio do bar, mostrará algumas partes durante todo o campeonato. Além disso, toda semana eles têm a programação com os jogos que irão exibir para que você possa ver que horas é melhor chegar lá. Adaptando-se ao estilo brasileiro, a maioria dos jogos são de futebol. 

The food is so good and so is the price. There you find traditional American food such as burgers, onion rings, chicken wings and the flagship barbecue ribs with fries, irrresistible to go with your ice-cold Budweiser displayed in the coolest sparkling ice buckets with their logo. But for those who want to keep fit, they also have a selection of salads and other drinks!!! 

A comida é muito boa e o preço também. Lá você encontra a comida tradicional americana como hambúrgueres, cebola empanada, asinha de frango e o carro-chefe costelinha no molho barbecue com batatas fritas, irresistível para combinar com sua Budweiser geladíssima colocada nos mais descolados baldinhos de gelo luminosos com o logo da marca. Mas para quem quiser continuar em forma, eles também têm uma seleção de saladas e outras bebidas!!!

YUMMY!!!: Alucci Alucci (São Paulo)

Well, after my search for the best place to go with my love, I ended up celebrating my Valentine's Day on a Friday last month at Alucci Alucci and I'd like to share with you what I thought about it.

Bem, depois da minha procura pelo melhor lugar para ir com meu amor, eu acabei celebrando o Dia dos Namorados em uma sexta-feira no mês passado no Alucci Alucci e eu gostaria de compartilhar com vocês o que eu achei de lá.


The place is very beautiful, nice and cozy, lots of couple tables, and even being so small, it has different areas to choose to sit: outside, in the porch, inside and in a mirror-wall area on the back.

O lugar é muito lindo, legal e aconchegante, com muitas mesas para casais, e mesmo sendo tão pequeno, tem áreas diferentes para escolher para se sentar: lá fora, na varanda, dentro e em uma área de parede espelhada nos fundos.


We ordered some drinks, I loved the red berries martini (the apple martini - which is my favorite - was not so good, tasted like lime).

Pedimos algumas bebidas, eu amei o martini de frutas vermelhas (o apple martini - que é o meu favorito - não estava muito bom, estava com gosto de limão).


As a starter I chose RAVIOLE TAPAS, tiny brie ravioli with a honey sauce to dip, very delicious, it's the most ordered appetizer and it's worth it!!!

De entrada eu escolhi TAPAS DE RAVIOLE, pequeninos raviolis de brie com um molho de mel para molhar, muito delicioso, é a entrada mais pedida e vale a pena!!!

Then I moved on to the entreè and ordered LEMON SPAGUETTINI WITH SHRIMP... I always order this combination when I eat out, but this time I was not so fortunate... the pasta was tasteless, even the 4 shrimps on it being good. Nothing special for the price you pay.

Depois passei para o prato principal e pedi SPAGUETTINI AO LIMÃO SICILIANO COM CAMARÕES... eu sempre peço essa combinação quando como fora, mas desta vez não tive muita sorte... a massa estava sem gosto, mesmo que os 4 camarões nela estivessem bons. Nada de especial pelo preço que se paga.


Anyway, the environment is very nice with cool songs playing. Besides, it gets pretty crowded after 10 pm. I suggest it for couples or singles going out for drinks and something to bite only.

De qualquer forma, o ambiente é muito legal com músicas descoladas tocando. Além disso, fica bem lotado depois das 22h. Eu sugiro o restaurante para casais ou solteiros saindo apenas para tomar algo e beliscar alguma coisinha.

YUMMY!!!: Valentine's Day - Where I'd go today in São Paulo

Today is Valentine's Day in Brazil (in the US is on February 14) and I have some suggestions for those who still don't know what to do today here in SP.

Hoje é Dia dos Namorados no Brasil (nos EUA é dia 14 de fevereiro) e eu tenho algumas sugestões para aqueles que ainda não sabem o que fazer hoje aqui em São Paulo.


Hold on! If you think that Valentine's Day is just for those who are in love, forget about it!!! People have been throwing great parties even for those who are looking for someone special!

Peraí! Se você acha que o Dia dos Namorados é somente para aqueles que estão apaixonados, esqueça!!! As pessoas têm dado ótimas festas até mesmo para aqueles que estão procurando alguém especial!

Era uma vez um chalezinho is the perfect place to chill out with your love listening to the piano and having a delicious fondue in a European-style warmed environment, however a bit pricey and crowded for these occasions.

Era uma vez um chalezinho é o lugar perfeito para relaxar com seu amor escutando piano e comendo um fondue delicioso em um ambiente quente ao estilo europeu, no entanto é um pouco caro e lotado para essas ocasiões.


Another place which is a classic is The View, at the top of a hotel building with an incredible scenery from the cosmopolitan and urban city of São Paulo. They also have live music and celebratory drinks to spend a lovely night.

Outro lugar que é um clássico é o The View, no topo de um prédio de hotel com um cenário incrível da cosmopolita e urbana cidade de São Paulo. Eles também têm música ao vivo e bebidas para celebrar e passar um noite muito agradável.


And of course I would pick an Italian. La Tambouille! This is a restaurant which has not only Italian, but also French cuisine.

E é claro que eu escolheria um Italiano. La Tambouille! Esse é um restaurante que tem não apenas culinária italiana, mas também francesa.
