"Keep Calm and Carry On" was a propaganda poster produced by the Government of the United Kingdom in 1939 during the beginning of the Second World War, intended to raise the morale of the British public in the event of a Nazi invasion of Britain. It had only limited distribution, and thus was little known.

Since 2000 the poster has been re-issued by a number of private companies and used as the decorative theme for a range of products, as the one we saw in the beginning of this post.

What about "Sneakers"??? In English is just how they say "tênis". It's much faster and more idiomatic than saying "tennis shoes". But nowadays this word has had a different meaning. It is related to the fashion shoes with heels hidden inside them, looking very sporty, like the very "sneakers". If you want to learn more about Sneakers in Portuguese and see some cool pictures, take a look at this fashion blog post from a dear friend of mine.
E quanto a "Sneakers"?

Now let's go to the difference.... what's wrong in this sentence???

The problem here is that we don't USE clothes, accessories and shoes... we WEAR them!!! This is a very common mistake people make by speaking English, because in Portuguese we have only one verb for both... So don't get tricked: "We USE the computer" and "We WEAR a beautiful dress.... and sneakers"!!! ;-)
Então não caia na pegadinha: "We USE the computer" e "We WEAR a beautiful dress... and sneakers"!!! ;-)
